GAIA Core Making Machines for Consumer Tissue Roll Production
Within the converting line, the core machine is the unit dedicated to producing cardboard cores on which the paper is wound to form the finished roll.
The core is made of cardboard strips spirally wound around a metal mandrel and glued on top of each other.
Maflex core machines can work with 1 to 5 strips depending on the desired core thickness.
They can produce cores with diameters ranging from a minimum of 30 mm to a maximum of 90 mm and lengths between 800 and 3300 mm.
Through small operations and adjustments, it is possible to switch from one core size to another in a short time (about 10 minutes).
As independent elements of the line, they can be integrated with a quick and simple installation in any facility. This operation requires minimal machine downtime and ensures maximum operational efficiency.
