PaperGear22 organized by Consorzio Formetica and ITSPRIME

Maflex supports the PaperGear22 project organized by Consorzio Formetica and ITSPRIME.

This year, Maflex has backed the educational project PaperGear22, a specialized program organized by Consorzio Formetica and ITSPRIME.

Consorzio Formetica is the training agency of Confindustria Toscana Nord, operating in the training sector since 2002 with the aim of promoting, organizing, and implementing orientation, updating, and professional specialization activities, mainly in the industrial sector. Its partner in the PaperGear22 project is the ITS PRIME foundation – Mechanical System, which develops highly professional and innovative study paths to train specialized technicians in the management of production processes, design and industrialization of machinery and equipment, maintenance of industrial plants, programming of mechatronic and robotic systems, and administration of company information systems.

The specific PaperGear22 project aims to train high-level technicians for the development of machinery and plants for paper production. The program is aimed at young graduates between eighteen and thirty years of age and consists of one thousand hours of classroom lessons and eight hundred hours of on-the-job training in companies. Through the on-the-job training, the students can transfer the knowledge learned in the classroom to practical level and thus prepare themselves to enter the job market.

We were pleased to welcome Filippo Colombini, twenty-one years old from Altopascio, who spent the months of his practical internship with us, working alongside Maflex testing technicians, assisting and participating in the assembly of tissue paper converting lines.

Filippo completed his internship in April and shared his experience with us. “During my internship at Maflex, I worked as an electrician, contributing to the realization of electrical systems for industrial lines for tissue paper converting. Maflex offers a welcoming, supportive, and stimulating environment. It’s clear that there is room for young people here. Additionally, I noticed a lot of attention towards employee training. I conclude this experience satisfied with the skills acquired and I feel confident recommending this company, especially to those, like me, who have recently entered the workforce.”

We thank Filippo for his sincere words, and we believe he is ready to face his next professional challenge!
